Birth city does not equal living city (i.e. Qualai vs. Caprica City)
Just wanted to bring this to up given Psutherlin's recent edit, since it seems that there's some over-thinking (or a bad case of fanwanking) going on here.
To put it simply, it should be explained that a birthplace is different from a place where you live during your youth. For instance, I was born in a hospital in Hartford, CT and thus that is my birth place, but never lived there during my youth.
And, really, that's all there is to it. So there's no contradiction where Adama says he grew up in Caprica City (because he did). He just wasn't born there. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 12:28, 3 December 2012 (EST)
- i think the intent was to acknowledge that information established in paperwork created by the props department isn't necessarily the intent of the producers. but what resulted was some pretty bad over thinking your right. no fan wanking intended. Psutherlin 17:36, 3 December 2012 (EST)
- Not a problem. :) Just wanted to make sure everyone was on the same page. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 18:18, 3 December 2012 (EST)
