What is this for?

Why does this template exist? It just seems to duplicate the "characters" template, while excluding Cylons. --Peter Farago 15:59, 2 May 2007 (CDT)

I just wondered the same. This is the very definition of clutter. All it does is duplicate the information already in the character list. Also, what other template displays this? All the character pages just use "{{Characters}}", but this is still invoked somehow. Anyways, I vote to delete this. --Serenity 14:53, 26 July 2007 (CDT)

Concur. This goes back to days last year when we went more than a bit template-crazy. Same would be true for the various succession templates (which, with Season 4, will likely go nowhere). --Spencerian 15:33, 26 July 2007 (CDT)

There is also a Cylon template which makes some more sense, as not all of those characters are listed in the normal character template. So maybe the if the character is a Cylon the Cylon template can be used additionally, otherwise nothing else happens. --Serenity 15:36, 26 July 2007 (CDT)

Ok.. the reason I created these two template was because the mixed between the colonials and the cylons in our main "list" was getting crazy. Now this template shows up on Colonial pages only and the cylon one shows up on the cylon pages. I thought it be an easier way to go through the different characters by group without having to sort through the category tree. Shane ^{(T - C - E)} 17:48, 26 July 2007 (CDT)

I've commented out the relevant line the normal character template so this isn't shown. The Cylon template is still displayed. We could keep it around just in case instead of deleting it. --Serenity 05:43, 5 August 2007 (CDT)
