- TV critic James Poniewozik names the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica as one of the 100 greatest television shows of all time. Joining this list are cult series such as The Prisoner, The Twilight Zone and the original Star Trek.
- The episode "Exodus, Part II" has won an Emmy® award for "Outstanding Special Visual Effects For A Series" and was nominated for "Outstanding Directing For A Drama Series". Together, "Occupation" and "Precipice" was nominated for "Outstanding Writing For A Drama Series", but did not receive the award.
- NBC Universal, the parent company responsible for Battlestar Galactica, has backed out of renewing its contract with iTunes. However, NBC announced that they will switch their entire lineup to Amazon's Unbox service.
