:::First off, this is a TOS article. So it's no error that the Re-imagined Series uses "light year". They could use both parsec (not the TOS definition, but the real one) and lightyear side by side. They aren't mutually exclusive. Just different units. --Serenity 09:39, 16 June 2007 (CDT) | :::First off, this is a TOS article. ::::You're right, of course. (Coincidentally, we may want to create a Science in the Original Series article to chronicle how science is depicted -- for lack of a better term -- in TOS. Obviously, we would want to strive for NPOV on that one, given how easy it is to rip TOS apart for its science.) -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 18:17, 16 June 2007 (CDT) |

Should there be a page for light year as well? It occurs frequently in the RDM dialog, and technically speaking it is a continuity error. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nnnnnnnn (talk • contribs).
- Not really. This article probably needn't exist at all, either. Battlestar Wiki isn't a general encyclopedia, and we don't generally allow articles on mundane or ordinary objects. A "parsec" is still a parsec, however misused, although it appears that the Re-imagined Series uses it much more accurately. --Spencerian 23:04, 15 June 2007 (CDT)
