Thanks for your work on these! We are WAY behind, but I'm hoping we can make some headway on them between now and October. I'm not cut out for transcribing, as I try to capture every um, ah, y'know (all the fillers), which drastically slows me down (especially since those aren't supposed to be transcribed anyway). I try to help out with the verifying, though, where the perfectionism doesn't slow me down as much. Anyway, thanks again! --[[User:Steelviper|Steelviper]] 12:33, 13 March 2006 (CST)

:You're very welcome.  I'm part of the [http://community.livejournal.com/battlestar_blog LiveJournal battlestar_blog community].  One of the members is deaf and wanted to know what was on RDM's podcasts (around the time when battlestarwiki was down due to server problems).  I volunteered to help transcribe an episode and email it to her, but in the meantime battlestarwiki was brought back online so I posted the transcripts here.  Great work on the verifications, SV!  I really appreciate it!  -- [[User:Laineylain|Laineylain]] 12:59, 13 March 2006 (CST)

Welcome to Battlestar Wiki!

Welcome to the Wiki, Laineylain. Feel free to tell us about yourself on your user page. Before you get started on other edits, please read the Battlestar Wiki:Standards and Conventions, which details the policies we use in editing pages (this differs from many other wikis in consistent use of phrasing, abbreviations, format, and the like).

Also, if you have any questions or suggestions you wish to offer, please feel free to do so either on your user talk page, the Wikipedian Quorum or Administrators' noticeboard. Remember to sign your posts on any talk pages using four tildes (~~~~)! --The Merovingian 17:44, 3 March 2006 (CST)

Excellent transcript work. Could always use more help there.--The Merovingian 00:04, 4 March 2006 (CST)
Thanks. Sorry it took a while to reply. I would like to transcribe the podcast for Lay Down Your Burdens Part 2. Both Ron Moore and David Eick are in the podcast. Would it be ok for me to use "R:" and "D:" whenever each one speaks? I don't know what the conventions are for when there are 2 speakers in 1 podcast. Thanks again. -- Laineylain 00:15, 11 March 2006 (CST)
We go with "RDM" and "Eick".--The Merovingian 00:16, 11 March 2006 (CST)

Podcast Transcripts

Thanks for your work on these! We are WAY behind, but I'm hoping we can make some headway on them between now and October. I'm not cut out for transcribing, as I try to capture every um, ah, y'know (all the fillers), which drastically slows me down (especially since those aren't supposed to be transcribed anyway). I try to help out with the verifying, though, where the perfectionism doesn't slow me down as much. Anyway, thanks again! --Steelviper 12:33, 13 March 2006 (CST)
