- The Tauron Civil War between the Heracleides and the Ha'la'tha rebels transpires, displacing many Taurons and orphaning Joseph and Sam Adama following the death of their parents, William Adama Sr. and Isabelle Adama (CAP: "False Labor", "The Dirteaters" and "Here Be Dragons").
- Sam and Joseph become indebted to the Guatrau and involved with the Ha'la'tha on Caprica, after Sam attempts to pickpocket the Guatrau (CAP: "The Dirteaters").
