Ron Blecker is the military advisor for the Battlestar Galactica Miniseries and television series.
Biographical Notes[edit]
Blecker is the owner and founder of Def Con 5 Inc, a company specializing in military, police and related advisory for movies, TV, and other areas, furnishing actors with firearms use for realistic combat scenes.
Blecker has an extensive military background, having served in Army Special Operations Command (SOCOM), trained an an Army Ranger, in Special Forces, and trained in SWAT tactics. Ron has been a military technical advisor since 1998. Blecker himself has an extensive screen credits list, including:
- The Chronicles of Riddick
- Stargate SG-1
- X-Men, X-Men 2 and Xmen 3: The Last Stand
