I don't think we can be sure that Shelly's real aim was to push Baltar into accepting the Cylon God. It seems more likely that she was truly trying to discredit him in order to stop the Cylon Detector from being completed. In the previous episode, a Doral attempted to destroy the Cylon Detector in a suicide bombing. Amos frans 03:07, 15 June 2006 (CDT)
- Thanks for commenting, Amos. There are new twists on the Godfrey mystery as of the episode, "Downloaded."
- How, if virtual Six is imaginary, was Godfrey summoned (and dismissed) at the right time after Baltar's tiff with virtual Six? How, or did, the two "Six's" communicate? Or, does Baltar do something that causes the changes?
- The Shelly model denied any Cylon corraboration (she was either a sleeper or under deep cover, as D'anna Biers is).
- Was Doral actually targeting the detector, or Galactica's commanders? They were nearby and were spotted by Doral, who proceeds with his plan.

- For #2, I don't understand, why would Shelly admit anything? About #3, it doesn't seem very likely Doral was after Tigh and Adama, he was already past them when Adama called his name. He only detonated the bomb when he got caught, it seemed like he hadn't yet reached his target. --Amos frans 14:31, 15 June 2006 (CDT)
- For my 2nd point, Baltar was unable to coax Shelly into admitting being complicit in virtual Six's attempts for his "repentance," so I think she was on her own; virtual Six was not really involved--I think she is really a hullucination. As for Doral, I'll have to watch that scene again. You might be right. --Spencerian 16:43, 15 June 2006 (CDT)
POV Issue
This article presupposes that Godfrey and the virtual Six are connected, while information from "Downloaded" confirms that the virtual Six (and Caprica-Six's virtual Baltar) are NOT Cylon constructs, nor are either sides aware of the existence of these phantoms. For the article to make a connection stretches plausibility as well as known data. We do know that virtual Six does tend to appear when he is endangered, or when "it" feels the need to intervene. That's really all we know. It may be (knowing that Gaius exists) that he somehow can sense (unconsciously) when a Six model is around. Again, that's supposition. --Spencerian 08:11, 10 October 2006 (CDT)

Status as a cylon
Isn't it supposition that Shelly is a cylon? Technically, all we know is that, like Head Six, she is someone who has the appearance of a Number Six model cylon. However, no other known cylon has ever mentioned her or claimed to know anything about her.
If the popular theory that she is a manifestation of Head Six is correct, then she may well not even be a cylon. It seems doubtful we will ever find out the truth about who or what Shelly really was, but I feel as though her status as a cylon is not concrete at all. --Motoki 17:43, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
