:::I can find even more connnections to the man-machine themes in ''Battlestar'' and ''The Matrix''. Doesn't mean that they need to be mentioned on Battlestar Wiki. The ''Blade Runner'' stuff is coincidental, too; plenty of aired SF has used androids prior to Dick's stories. Concur on speedy delete. --[[User:Spencerian|Spencerian]] 07:52, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

I was wondering when someone would find the link between Second Variety and the re-imagined Cylons... Though, I don't think the short-story merits an article on this Wiki. DrWho42 02:29, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

Yeah, this doesn't warrant an own article. But I'd go so far to say that it's not worth noting that the Cylons just happen to have a similarity to one, or the, first scifi stories to feature killer robots. Of course they do. Everything has been doe before one shape or another. A real, confirmed inspiration for the human Cylons is Blade Runner though, which is also based on a story by Phillip K. Dick. --Serenity 04:32, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

I removed it from Cylons (RDM) as that's really a portal. An appropriate page could be Cylon Centurion, but I still don't think that it's really relevant. --Serenity 07:46, 6 June 2007 (CDT)
I can find even more connnections to the man-machine themes in Battlestar and The Matrix. Doesn't mean that they need to be mentioned on Battlestar Wiki. The Blade Runner stuff is coincidental, too; plenty of aired SF has used androids prior to Dick's stories. Concur on speedy delete. --Spencerian 07:52, 6 June 2007 (CDT)
