I updated the logo just cause I will be @ work from 6:30pm to 7am tonight. Enjoy BSG tonight. :-) Shane (T - C - E) 14:43, 28 January 2007 (CST)

Also... page me if there are any problems tonight. Shane (T - C - E) 16:26, 28 January 2007 (CST)
But we don't have 2000 articles yet ;) *quickly deleted some to lower the count* --Serenity 16:36, 28 January 2007 (CST)
Woohoo! :> --Spencerian 19:38, 28 January 2007 (CST)

Battlestarwiki españa

Hi, first you have to excuse my poor english but iam a spanish native speaker. I tried to contact with shane in BSW España, but i recieved no answer. I have some questions about that wiki. --Baltar Gaiolas 21:03, 15 February 2007 (CST)

Hi, no problem. Actually, Shane just replied to you here. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 21:05, 15 February 2007 (CST)

.com

Goes no where. ;-) Shane (T - C - E) 10:53, 21 February 2007 (CST)

Yeah, I know that... It was supposed to go to a mirror site that never happened. I'll have to go and change it. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 14:41, 21 February 2007 (CST)
That's what you told me two weeks ago :D --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 14:51, 21 February 2007 (CST)
.net loads into a frame instead of a proper redirect too. --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 14:53, 21 February 2007 (CST)
Yeah, yeah. :-) However, I don't see how .net loads into a frame... -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 14:59, 21 February 2007 (CST)
Actually, it does load into a frame; there was an option that was recently added to the domain registrar's control panel. It just wasn't obvious to me. Anyway, .com now redirects to .org, and I've removed the frame option from the .net forward (same with the .com). Should work in less than an hour. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 15:09, 21 February 2007 (CST)
Woo Yay and whatnot ^_^ --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 15:20, 21 February 2007 (CST)

Signature Problem

Hey Joe, I was having a little truble with my signature. When I use the signature timestamp my sn is comingout ZareCk Rocks, even though my sn is Zarek Rocks. Just a minor problem but I wanted to see if you had any advice. Thanks!--Zareck Rocks 23:40, 12 March 2007 (CDT)

Go to Preferences. Click on "User Profile" and then find the field titled "nickname". There you should probably see the issue. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 05:10, 13 March 2007 (CDT)

Gmail

Check your gmail for a couple of responses regarding the B5 thing. They're interested in having a conversation. --Steelviper 15:49, 17 April 2007 (CDT)

I saw that. I'll reply after I get some grub. Looks promising, though. ;-) -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 16:11, 17 April 2007 (CDT)

Verb Tense?

I just saw that an admin changed the verb tense on the edits I made to the Military Ranks (RDM) page to the passive, past tense, voice although the wiki policy states that we are to write in the active, present tense, voice.

When exactly is it appropriate to use the differing verb tense? --Tungsten 12:55, 23 April 2007 (CDT)

The content is more "real world" and so falls under a different set of guidelines, see: Battlestar Wiki:Real Point of View. Of course, to ask exactly why the edit occurred, Serenity would be willing and able to answer any of your questions regarding his edit. :-) -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 13:01, 23 April 2007 (CDT)
I didn't change the tense. It's still present. To be honest, I can't really remember why I changed the voice. It wasn't really wrong per se. In fact, I think I'll change it back. It looks better the way it was :s --Serenity 13:17, 23 April 2007 (CDT)
O sorry about that. I actually thought I asked Serenity. Must have had to many tabs open and hit the wrong one :). Thanks for the feedback. I'm pretty new to this whole wiki contributions thing and just wanted to make sure I got the rules down so I don't make a mess of things :). Thank you both. --Tungsten 02:12, 24 April 2007 (CDT)
Well as said, you didn't do anything wrong. I think I thought it looked better the other way. Just a style thing. But I reverted my edit after thinking about it some more. While we appreciate that you check the rules beforehand, don't worry about messing up. If you break some style convention 1 or 2 times, an admin will usually tell you on your user page, and correct it. But it's no big thing. Just saves us work mopping after other people if they know the stuff. --Serenity 04:41, 24 April 2007 (CDT)
