I don't think Pegasus is bigger. It doesn't look much bigger, and the "twice the size of Galactica" line said by Cain was only in the extended DVD edition of "Pegasus". The way I see it, Galactica-type battlestars are considered "heavy" defensive battlestars, Mercury-class are "medium" or "heavy" offense battlestars, and Valkyrie-types are "light" multirole battlestars. | I don't think Pegasus is bigger. : Actually, that scene was in the aired show when Adama, Roslin, and Cain sat down over drinks. Cain indicated they the ship jumped since, without the other computers, they were defenseless--the only thing online, apparently, were the navigation and/or FTL computers. Does this mean that Pegasus never had the CNP? They probably did. I bet they learned quickly and retrofit their ships immediately as they likely got the same information about the fleet's failure rates over wireless as did Galactica. It would have been impossible for Pegasus to fight Cylons otherwise. Pegasus's Size
Is Pegasus really bigger than Galactica? Galactica looks way bigger, in terms of length and width. There are shots of them flying in a staggered formation, with Galactica on the top and behind Pegasus, and it definitely looks bigger. Pegasus may have more landing bays and 8 engines as opposed to 6, but i dont know if its bigger. GalacticaActual 1:00, 10 October 2009 (EDT)
- I wouldn't put stock in that footage, particularly due to lens distortion, perspective issues, and other factors generated in CGI. Further, since we don't know the exact distance between the two ships when these shots were taken, going by that evidence would be folly. Go by what was told in dialogue and what Mojo has to say on the subject. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Battlestar Pegasus 20:09, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
Skeleton Crew at the Battle of New Caprica
I added in that the Pegasus had a skeleton crew at the Battle of New Caprica, as only 2-3 Raptors are seen exiting the Pegasus port flight pod before it crashes into a basestar, and it doesn't seem to make sense that Lee Adama would send the ship in with the entire crew, if it was going to be destroyed. They wouldn't be able to evacuate the ship in time. He would have only needed personnel for propulsion, navigation and weapons, and left all non-essential personnel with the Fleet. Battlestar Pegasus
Holy frak!!! Look at the SIZE of that thing! I love the look of this advanced battlestar, and hope we get a few more good looks at her and how good a fighter it is--but not against Adama, please. Pictures, pictures, pictures needed, particularly interior shots as well. Spencerian 00:46, 24 September 2005 (EDT)
- I think we should reference that it bears a similar shape of the original Galactica. QX100 16:32, 29 September 2005 (EDT)
- Don't all Battlestars? Or do you mean more similar than the new Galactica herself? --April Arcus 22:40, 29 September 2005 (EDT)
- What I Meant was that the pegasus and all ships in the Mercury-class have the same bulky resemblence of the Battlestars from the original series. QX100 22:48, 29 September 2005 (EDT)
- Well, if you look at the end portion in that one pic, you can see the 2 hull-mounted engines which is the original structure of the battlestar in the original series and it seems like the 4 other sublight engines are "attached" to it. Blacklight 00:00, 30 September 2005 (EDT)

Fleet unit
I couldn't make it out - I believe the Pegasus was assigned to the 62nd Battlestar Group, but I can't be sure. Kuralyov 13:34, 24 September 2005 (EDT)
Pegasus Battle Group
It belonged to BSG 62
- That's what I pointed out on the 87th BSG page before it got deleted. --Talos 07:56, 28 September 2005 (EDT)
- That's what it looks like to me as well. I think that we should move the BSG 75 page to just "BSG" and note it there, though, not on its own page. --April Arcus 10:56, 28 September 2005 (EDT)

the CNP
Did pegasus have it and when do you think they got rid of it? --Alex mcpherson 13:02, 28 September 2005 (EDT)
