Faulty Logic for a Logic Error?
Lagoon Nebula
From the Logic Error section:

<BLOCKQUOTE>In "Crossroads, Part II", it is inferred that Samuel Anders only began his training, as he is being shown avionics and other key systems in a Raptor by Lieutenant Margaret Edmondson. In this episode, he tells Kara Thrace that he concluded basic training and began ACM, and is capable of flying the Viper.</BLOCKQUOTE>
"the nebula is located in Scorpio, but in the real world it is actually in the constellation Sagittarius."

This isn't necessarily true. Just because Anders is only conducting initial training on a Raptor doesn't mean that he can't be trained already in a Viper. For example, the fleet's training methods may be that a pilot has to complete basic training on one ship design before learning another. Alternatively, especially given the fact that the Fleet has a finite amount of pilots, the fleet could be using the Viper as a basic trainer, ensuring that the new pilots are grounded in basic flight manuvers and Colonial insturmentation, before adding in the extra variables found in an electronic warfare platform such as the Raptor. --Kant Lavar 10:45, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
But they weren't seeing from the "real world" (Our Earth), were they? They were seeing it from the cylon earth.

: Well... logistically speaking, the problem with Anders sudden flight ability stem from these facts:
: They were headed in the same "direction," so the constellation was always Sagittarius. Besides, the whole Tomb of Athena thing was a big plot problem anyway, given how the story ended. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 22:18, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

# In "The Son Also Rises", which takes place at least two weeks after Thrace's death in "Maelstrom", Anders breaks his leg. Now, in "He That Believeth In Me", he claims that Thrace has been gone for two months; so his leg was fully healed in 6 or 7 weeks, which seems a bit excessive, unless it was a fracture and not a clean break.
# By the end of that same episode, when he speaks to Lee Adama, several days appear to have passed. (From the death of Alan Hughes, to the various attempts on Romo Lampkin's life, etc.) There are no indications in that one week (if we're to be conservative about it) that he signed up to be trained as a Viper jock.
# The fact that Anders's leg is broken would impede any practical training in a Viper. For instance, he wouldn't be able to use thruster or braking pedals, particularly since theyse are pivotal basic controls on a Viper. (In "The Hand of God", Kara Thrace's damaged knee effectively grounded her, since Commander Adama points out that she wouldn't be able to operate the thruster pedal in her condition.)

: Also there are indications that the timeline was fudged to an absurd level, as pointed out here, with the whole "two month" item I noted earlier. So there is a large error here, and it is painfully apparent that they had to fit Anders in a Viper in order to stop the Cylon attack at the nebula. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Battlestar Pegasus 23:03, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Lagoon Nebula

"the nebula is located in Scorpio, but in the real world it is actually in the constellation Sagittarius."

But they weren't seeing from the "real world" (Our Earth), were they? They were seeing it from the cylon earth. --tanketai 20:28, 25 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

They were headed in the same "direction," so the constellation was always Sagittarius. Besides, the whole Tomb of Athena thing was a big plot problem anyway, given how the story ended. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 22:18, 25 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Casting Errors

Is it clear that the acting change for Zak Adama was for casting reasons, or possibly the change from an extra to a fully fledged actor? --Radicaledward 06:21, 9 Aug 2005 (EDT)

"Jesus"

So, now that we know that Tigh came from Earth, does that retcon the reference to Jesus from an ad-lib by the actor? Heh--ManofTheAtom 21:46, 23 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Tigh lived on the original Earth 146,000 years before Jesus lived on ours, so... no. --April Arcus 21:55, 23 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
There's our Jesus, the one from Earth 2. There could have been a Jesus on Earth 1 who originated from Kobol. It be no different from "our" Zeus and "their" Zeus, or their Hera and our Hera, and so on and so forth. Earth 1 could have had its own Jesus, who attained some sort of status that would explain why his name would be uttered in such a manner. --ManofTheAtom 22:25, 23 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
As explained in the article from the writers, this is an ad-lib and has no bearing on the show at all. It needn't be explored further. --Spencerian 01:24, 24 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

VFX Gaffe in an episode

New here so putting this for others to verify first... "A Measure of Salvation" - Galactica's raptor noclips' through a raider: Watch their left/port-side wingtip... it passes through a raiders' wing. Just before it enters the tunnel bit of the basestar. AlexMcpherson 21:02, 29 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
