Dashiell "Dash" Unger is a Viper pilot from Galactica.

Six months after William Adama assumes command of Galactica, Unger is one of Kara Thrace's wingmen on a testing mission of an expensive prototype craft. During a mock exercise, he is taken out.

Later, Dash partakes in a mission to escort Darja Purat in Agent Nolan's fake mission to draw out Purat's terrorist associates. As they pass the Virgon moon cluster, the escort ship is attacked and he readies himself to launch when an unidentified Raptor-like craft jumps in front of the launch bay and launches missiles, which compromises the atmosphere of the launch area and, apparently, destroys Unger's Viper in the process (Battlestar Galactica: Season Zero 3).
