Were you born in the 1960's? Were you born in the 1980's? If you answered ''Yes'' to any of these two questions you might have seen the Origial ''Battlestar Galactica'' and ''Battlestar Galactica'' (1980) back in the day. But did you know there is a new series out there? Most likly. The new and improved ''[[Battlestar Galactica (RDM)|Battlestar Galactica]]'' created and produced by [[Ronald D. Moore]] has been the talk of the town on SciFi websites and entertainment magainzes alike. It is a "[[Wikipedia:Reboot_%28continuity%29|reboot]]" of the two previous series, but still mantaining it's own story line. As the series has just finshed it's second season and has being renewed for a third, ''[[Battlestar Galactica (RDM)|Battlestar Galactica]]'' has captivated us and insipred us to think out-side of the box. The next time new shows of ''[[Battlestar Galactica (RDM)|Battlestar Galactica]]'' will air will be October 2006 on our local [[SciFi Channel]].

If you're old enough, you might have seen the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica and Galactica 1980 way back when. The re-imagined series debuted with a miniseries on December 8th, 2003, and concluded 73 episodes later on March 20th, 2009.

The new Battlestar Galactica, created and produced by Ronald D. Moore, was the talk of the town on science fiction websites and entertainment magazines alike. It was a reboot of the two previous series, but maintained its own story line with a darker tone and rich characterizations, intrigue and action.

Despite the controversy, this reboot remains one of the more successful reboots of a television series from the 20th century, and has spawned off two prequels: Caprica and Blood and Chrome.
