I was writing recaps for the episode just before the mid-season premiere where I took note of dialogue and like you, I don't recall any specific instance where the term "Cylon Prototype" was ever used (as near as I can tell they only referred to it as a prototype once, in "Rebirth"). Seemed they predominately referred to it just as the U-87. Where did the term "Cylon Prototype" even originate from?--Mars 13:06, 17 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Supapuerco appears to have been using it descriptively. I support a name change to U-87 Cyber Combat Unit (that was the full name, right, or was it something different?). -- Noneofyourbusiness 20:55, 17 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
well, Cyber Combat Unit was used only in the pilot as far as i know. since then, the thing has mostly been referred to simply as U-87, with the unit containing Zoe referred to as the prototype. they called it a Cylon in the pilot and in "Gravedancing", they have also referred to it as the "robot soldier" and "warrior robot". i would support U-87 Cyber Combat Unit, or even U-87 Cylon. "Apotheosis" Cylon models

i am going to create a page for the three cylon models introduced in "Apotheosis" - the construction worker models as well as the cylon butler. however, i'm unsure what to call them. they are distinctly NOT U-87s and clearly not centurions. was thinking either "Caprica Cylons" or "Civilian Cylons". what do you guys think?
