Welcome to Battlestar Wiki!

Greetings, Pst001, and welcome to Battlestar Wiki! I'm pleased to tell you that you have full editing privileges on every wiki in the Battlestar Wiki network. I hope you enjoy your stay with us and am looking forward to your contributions to the Wiki! Why not begin by telling us a bit about yourself on your own user page?

As you may already know, Battlestar Wiki covers all the Battlestar Galactica series from past to present, in addition to authorized merchandise. Presently, we don't cover fan fiction, but our sister-site, Battlestar Pegasus, does so. We're also not a discussion site, although we do have an ever-growing Battlestar Forum where people can discuss the various shows and non-BSG topics as well!

To get started on the wiki, we suggest that you check out our tutorial, experiment in the sandbox (a test editing area for those learning wiki code), and review some of our basic policies (which have important differences from other SF wikis). For some general questions and answers about the navigation and operation of the Wiki, check out the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

Of course, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, you are more than welcome to bring them up at the Chiefs' noticeboard (which is frequented by the administrators of the Wiki) and at the Galactipedians' Quorum (which is the hub for contributors, who are called "Galactipedians").

Furthermore, if you don't wish to see the ads, then please consider upgrading your account to a paid membership, which costs only $10 USD a year and helps support the wiki financially. This membership also extends to the Battlestar Forum, where you can talk to other members about the show and most anything that you want to talk about to BSG fans! We think this is very cool, and we hope you do as well!

Thank you for joining us! Hope to see you soon! --JubalHarshaw 20:02, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi

Welcome to Battlestar Wiki. You've made a number of constructive edits so far. Keep up the good work. But, in the future, you could try to avoid labelling them as "minor". -- Noneofyourbusiness 13:01, 12 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

oh ok, thanks for the heads up. force of habit i guess. Pst001
I'd also like to congratulate you on your great work. Keep it up!--DrWho42 21:23, 12 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
No problem. "Minor" refers to things like singular typos and comma placement. Hope you keep contributing. -- Noneofyourbusiness 15:28, 13 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Amanda Graystone, and more

Thanks for filling in some pretty big gaps in the site's Caprica information--Amanda being one of the biggest--and for filling them in so well! BlueResistance 15:53, 17 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

thanks! seemed like amanda and caprica as a whole needed some love. Pst001 17:44, 17 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Images

I've noticed that you've added screencaps from the final five Caprica episodes. They're damn good quality, so I have to answer the call of curiosity and ask where you've obtained them. --Mars 04:21, 1 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

canadian itunes has the final five episodes up, that's where i've taken all of my screen captures from! Pst001 08:38, 1 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Tense

Your work on Caprica is excellently worded and well-detailed, so I'm sorry to nitpick, but there's a convention at Battlestar Wiki that present tense be used: Battlestar_Wiki:Standards_and_Conventions#Tense -- Noneofyourbusiness 23:55, 28 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

blegh, i don't know how to deal with that haha. sounds so weird in the present tense. ok. thanks for the heads up. Pst001 00:01, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
You can still use past tense for events before the series in question. You're welcome. Sorry rules differ from wiki to wiki (TARDIS Wiki, for example, has an all-past-tense rule, possibly because of the present being relative in Doctor Who). -- Noneofyourbusiness 00:04, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
yeah i probably should have looked at the rules more closely before i started. used to work on memory alpha which was also past tense. i suppose i assumed things would be past tense because even in the context of the series, everything takes place in the distant past.
