Why is the [[Return of Starbuck]], produced as part of the 1980 series, listed here? I'm guessing that this means the script was originally written for TOS (though I can't find any evidence for this). If this is so we need suitable explanation (possibly in a footnote) in this table. Why is The Return of Starbuck, produced as part of the 1980 series, listed here? I'm guessing that this means the script was originally written for TOS (though I can't find any evidence for this). If this is so we need suitable explanation (possibly in a footnote) in this table. OTW 15:44, 12 August 2007 (CDT)

From http://www.chrispappas.com/archives/scripts.html:
FINAL FLIGHT/RETURN OF STARBUCK by Glen A. Larson. Its original title and dates are unknown ("Final Flight" is from a rumor, so may not be definitive), but according to Stu Phillips and Richard Hatch, this G80 episode was based on a second-season BG script. In the original version, Starbuck was shot down on a deserted planet, reconstructed Cy for company, and met up with a woman who had landed on the planet after fleeing from some sort of trouble. Starbuck selflessly sent her back to her world in the escape craft he and Cy had made, and was fortunately rescued himself by Boomer. Guesswork suggests that only the Starbuck/Cy dialogue in the G80 version is a direct survivor of the original.
Therefore, this makes the script (technically) unproduced, although it was heavily revised for 1980. I wouldn't be adverse to a footnote, though. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 15:53, 12 August 2007 (CDT)
