Issue 1 of the Battlestar Galactica: The Official Magazine is a Titan Magazines publication released in August/September 2005 covering the Re-imagined Series. Published between Season 1 and Season 2, this issue marked the beginning of the magazine's regular run following the Special/Miniseries issue.

Publication Details

Issue 1 was released with two different cover variants:

PX Edition (Previews Exclusive): Titled "Battle Plans" - available exclusively at comic specialty shops
Newsstand Edition: Titled "Captain's Courageous" - available at newsstands and general retail outlets

The magazine retailed for $6.99 USD.

Jamie Bamber - In the cover story "Captain's Courageous," Bamber discusses Apollo's future course and character development heading into Season 2
Ronald D. Moore and David Eick - The executive producers discuss the progress of Season 2 in an article titled "Launch When Ready"
Grace Park - The actress discusses Boomer's fate following the shocking Season 1 finale

This was the first regular numbered issue following the Special/Miniseries issue released in December 2003.
The two-year gap between the Special issue and Issue 1 reflected the time between the Miniseries broadcast (December 2003) and the start of the regular series run that began airing in 2004 (UK)/2005 (US).
The issue was published during the hiatus between Season 1 and Season 2, providing fans with exclusive content and interviews during the wait for new episodes.
Like all issues of The Official Battlestar Galactica Magazine, this publication featured full-color photography and production imagery.
