Arnold Wayne Heffley Jr. (15 July 1927―19 November 2008), credited as Wayne Heffley, is an American actor who portrayed Packer, the Stanford Chemical Plant guard, in Galactica 1980's "The Super Scouts, Part I". His performance in that episode was uncredited, but he was identified through computer-aided facial recognition.

Born in Bakersfield, California, U.S.A., Heffley is best known as Vern Scofield from the daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives, a recurring role he held between 1988 through 2006.

Heffley's other credits, numbering in the hundreds, include numerous productions spanning from the 1950s through the 2000s, notably guest starring roles in The Twilight Zone, Bonanza (with Lorne Greene), The Streets of San Francisco, Kojak, Hill Street Blues, and Airwolf.

He passed away from kidney failure on 19 November 2008.
