Hector was created out of "spare parts" by the ire-instilling android, Vector. Despite Hector's "heritage", he was the kinder of the two and was built before the death of John Fowler, Sarah's father. Hector assisted in constructing the grave and the domicile in time for Michael's ship to land on the planet Paradeen. Hector mistook Starbuck, who had shaggy dark-brown hair, as Sarah's oldest child, Charity. Hector also forgot to disable the transmitter, which resulted in ire from Vector yet again.

Hector additionally assisted in taking Starbuck to the city, later returning to the farm to gather assistance. While constantly bashed by the senior android, Vector, Apollo told him it was the right thing to do. Later on, after the Eastern Alliance enforcers were rounded up, and at the permission of Sarah, the androids finally got to perform a dance from the Royal Theatre of Terra. (Greetings from Earth)
