Welcome to Battlestar Wiki!

Welcome to the Wiki, Mazzy. Feel free to tell us about yourself on your user page. Before you get started on other edits, please read the Battlestar Wiki:Standards and Conventions, which details the policies we use in editing pages (this differs from many other wikis in consistent use of phrasing, abbreviations, format, and the like).

Also, if you have any questions or suggestions you wish to offer, please feel free to do so either on your user talk page, the Wikipedian Quorum or Administrators' noticeboard. Remember to sign your posts on any talk pages using four tildes (~~~~)! --The Merovingian (C - E) 01:37, 5 April 2006 (CDT)

Thank you for the welcome and the information. I don't understand the tilde thing but I hope I get it right. Is it customary to leave a space between enteries on this page? -- Mazzy 02:15, 5 April 2006 (CDT)

Yeah, but note that by leaving a colon at the beginning of your first line, you can indent an entire paragraph (hitting Enter and making a new paragraph necessitaties making a colon again). We also put two dashes -- in front of the four tildes. --The Merovingian (C - E) 02:17, 5 April 2006 (CDT)
Want me to set up your bio box? It's like the one I have, or the one I set up for Aerynsun44--The Merovingian (C - E) 02:18, 5 April 2006 (CDT)
That would be great V, I'm sorry I punked out, lappy ran out of juice and so did I. Whatever you did for Aeryn I am sure would be fine. Let me know what you need from me.-- Mazzy 07:21, 5 April 2006 (CDT)
Started the set-up for you. Click on the edit to format it ho you would like. You can upload a picture of you if you like using the upload page. Otherwise remove the image i put in for you. Any row left blank will not show up in the profile. Experiment and see. Take a look at mine to see how I did it if you want. --Mercifull 07:39, 5 April 2006 (CDT)
Thank you for all the help, Merciful and of course V. Please bear with my learning processes, I will get better I promise. -- Mazzy 09:31, 5 April 2006 (CDT)

Questions for anyone before I mess something up.

I was checking the Racetrack page and noticing the spelling of her name is not the same as how it is spelled on her Raptor. I was wondering if that should be noted somewhere. Also I read that the actress has a prefered nick name for her Character and I wondered if there is a special place for those type of notes. Thanks for any info on what is normal practice with either of these things, obviously I am learning and as I get braver I will stop asking these basics. Thank you in advance. -- Mazzy 01:01, 7 April 2006 (CDT)

Battlestar Wiki:Standards and Conventions. Otherwise, if people notice something wrong, they can fix it fast. --Shane (T - C - E) 01:06, 7 April 2006 (CDT)
Thank you for bringing this to attention Mazzy. I'm going to go through my DVD's to get how the credits spell it. Which episode was her name visible on her Raptor? --The Merovingian (C - E) 01:16, 7 April 2006 (CDT)
Thank you for the link Shane (T - C - E), I have read it. I was more concerned that it isn't a wiki error it is an inconsistency in the show and if we articulate them here. I appreciate your lightening fast response! -- Mazzy 01:27, 7 April 2006 (CDT)
I am sorry V, I don't know which epi, but I have the cap if that helps. And thank you as usual. -- Mazzy 01:27, 7 April 2006 (CDT)
Can you link the caps? --The Merovingian (C - E) 01:35, 7 April 2006 (CDT)
Well maybe [1] Ok we will see if that works... Thanks for your help V. -- Mazzy 01:41, 7 April 2006 (CDT)
I'm going to chalk that one up as a simple prop department goof (this happens all the time; someone misreads a memo, or simply paints the wrong thing, etc.) In this screencap of her interview in "Final Cut", her name is prominently displayed on screen as "Edmonson" without a second "D", and all of her listings in the credits at the end of an episode following this call her "Edmonson". Looks like this was just a random one-shot goof. --The Merovingian (C - E) 02:24, 7 April 2006 (CDT)
Ok, well I didn't know if that stuff was logged seperately as well. Thank you so much for your time. If I happen to see anything to the contrary, I will let you know. Is there a record of goofs? -- Mazzy 02:33, 7 April 2006 (CDT)
Yeah im pretty sure its a porps goof, ive seen the name a few times and its not had the second D. --Mercifull 03:10, 7 April 2006 (CDT)
Thank you Mercifull for affirming. I appreciate any and all comments! -- Mazzy 16:52, 7 April 2006 (CDT)

Very good progress

It's great to see you started to get more comfortable in editing articles. Usually most new users stop after a day or two; always good to get devoted people here :) Don't worry if some of your stuff gets changed to, we're just playing around with it to get the most accurate stuff. If problems arise or confusion, don't hesistate to bring it up on the "Talk" page of an article. --The Merovingian (C - E) 21:12, 10 April 2006 (CDT)

Because of time constraints etc. it will be slow going for me. I appreciate your feedback V darlin, I am a firm believer in proofers lol. I will offer what I can as far as revision, I understand the nature of the beast is to constantly revise, I was an english major, once upon a time. I will be tenative but not sensitive, I promise. Thank you for the encouragement. You know I adore your dedication and focus. I have clinical background in Forensics so if that helps define my perspective, understand I get the whole POV thing. One can not file a report in opinion, facts are obviously the only medium accepted and expected. So even if I think Apollo is the bomb, you will find I define him as a human male mid to late 20's, son of Adama, etc and so forth...damn it the arrow is irrelevant, in every way but my own fantasy world...grr. LOL Tchuss! -- Mazzy 21:40, 10 April 2006 (CDT)
