Welcome to Battlestar Wiki!
Welcome to the Wiki, Acofell. Feel free to tell us about yourself on your user page. Before you get started on other edits, please read the Standards and Conventions, which details the policies we use in editing pages (this differs from many other wikis in its particular use of verb tense, abbreviations, formatting, and the like). If you need help in learning how to use the MediaWiki tools supported here, you can check out the tutorial and the wiki markup code pages for assistance.
We encourage you to participate in any projects on Battlestar Wiki, which work to enhance a particular subject or extension of the wiki. These include the Original Series Article Development Project and several language translations of Battlestar Wiki. If you have a new idea for a new project, visit the Think Tank, where we hash out large-scale ideas before implementing them.
Also, if you have any questions or suggestions you wish to offer, please feel free to do so either on an article's talk page that's relevant to the subject, the Wikipedian Quorum or the Administrators' noticeboard. Remember to sign your posts on any talk pages using four tildes (~~~~)!
Is this Anne Cofell Saunders herself, or just an informed fan? I only ask because of the username and the specific edit you made. Unlike Wikipedia, experts (specifically members of the production team) are most definitely welcome and appreciated, and there's even a forum where questions are asked in the hopes of responses from the team. (Mostly answered, if at all, by Bradley Thompson). If you can't reply here, you can also drop me an email at (matt "at" battlestarwiki.org). Either way, welcome aboard! --Steelviper 14:05, 9 November 2006 (CST)
First of all, welcome on Battlestar Wiki! If and when you have the time, we'd really appreciate you answering our questions, as Bradley Thompson does from time to time. He used to be the only one, so we hope you can help poor Brad out ;)
When replying to or answering a question on BW:OC, please remember to indent your answer, like this:
Question :Reply ::Reply to that
The colons take care of the indention automatically, so the example above looks like this:
- Reply to that
Also, please sign your comments on BW:OC or talk pages with --~~~~ (that's two dashes and four tildes). This will automatically expand to your username and a timestamp, as you can see at the end of my comment.
I hope you will be able to find the time to answer some of our questions. Of course, you are also welcome to edit other articles. Don't be afraid to mess things up, we'll clean up after you if you do so. If you have a question about how this Wiki works, you can always ask me or an admin. Just leave a message on their User talk: page. Enjoy your time here. --Catrope 10:03, 9 March 2007 (CST)
