Which is it?
"Raptor 312 was piloted by Lieutenant Sharon "Boomer" Valerii with ECO Lieutenant Karl C. "Helo" Agathon." or "Raptor 478 is the Raptor craft piloted by Lt. Sharon Valerii ("Boomer")"
It seems like both craft are claimed to have been flown by Boomer and Helo (and all their subsequent replacements). Were they all flying in both raptors? Are the raptor number designations static and unique? It seems odd that you would have the 1st and 3rd raptors ever flying alongside number 312 and 478. Is it possible that the number designations are temporary, like flight numbers on commercial aircraft (or like Air Force 1, which is the designation of whichever aircraft the president is flying in)? If a crew were working with a craft for an extended period of time it is likely that they'd have a more familiar name for it than just a number designation. Steelviper 13:21, 4 November 2005 (EST)
- 478 was Valerii's regular, and referred to on numerous occasions. The deck gang also calls them by number as if they're fixed designations. As for 312, I'm not even sure where it was mentioned. --April Arcus 17:53, 4 November 2005 (EST)
Lack of Citations
- My confidence in the earlier statement was not warranted. 478 is only explicitly referred to the episodes "[33]" and "Water". She pilots 312 in the Mini. --April Arcus 05:04, 11 December 2005 (EST)
Kimiko
Crashdown wanted to name the asteroid that, not the raptor. Why is that relevant here? --April Arcus 14:04, 28 December 2005 (EST)
- (cited transcript)
- Raptor - Orbiting some "rock"
- Boomer: Beginning dradis one sweep...
- Crashdown: Beginning dradis two sweep. So, I'm thinking that we should give this lovely little rock of nothing a name. I'm thinking... "Kimiko". (off her no reaction) Kimiko? After a lovely little lady in a lovely little city in a lovely little colony that I used to know.
- Boomer: (couldn’t care less) Whatever...
- It seems like he's wanting to name the "rock" a name, not the raptor... --Steelviper 14:08, 28 December 2005 (EST)
- By the Gods, you're right: I'm watching the DVD and it sounds like he says "hunk" so I assumed he was refering to the Raptor (because he had just been assigned there); yes, the transcript says rock; he's talking about the ice moon. Does the ice moon warrant it's own page? I'll get on this...--Ricimer 14:09, 28 December 2005 (EST)
