So I managed to see a copy uploaded to Scribd the other day and here are some notes I picked up from it, aside from the Colonies descriptions.

  • Socinus' first name: Pieter.
  • James "Jammer" Lyman is a Leonid (from Leonis) with a Gemenese mother. He was also assigned to Galactica from Battlestar Orion two weeks before the attacks.
  • Donald "Chuckles" Perry (though they use the first name Jeremy) was from Caprica City, Caprica and escaped the Fall of the Twelve Colonies aboard the Elegant Dream.
  • Elosha was born on Libran (written as Libris).
  • Diana Seelix is from Virgon.
  • Dwight "Flat Top" Sanders is half-Virgon, half-Picon.
  • Fireball's name and rank are: Lieutenant Jaco Gwinn, from Sagittaron. He was assigned to Valkyrie and escorted civilian ships to Roslin's location.
  • AU = 93 million miles.
  • Galactica was 300 million miles from Caprica at the time of the attacks.
  • One of the refinery ships is called Tauranian, which I believe is from the Miniseries novelization as well.
  • Nearly every botanical ship in the fleet is either owned or run by Aquarians.
  • Phelan spent time at a penal colony on Canceron.
  • Zephyr (identified as Space Park) is a cruise ship/passenger liner built by the Librans, something from the old website.
  • There are several merchant ships in the fleet.
  • A ship in the fleet is a processing vessel called Mekata.
  • A ship in the fleet is called Picon Dreamer and its skipper is Captain Mayra Shane.
  • An Aquarian delegate is named Shandra White (Miksa Burian is the most common one, though considering the mixed make-up of the Quorum of Twelve unless you had a speaking role and unlikelihood they could retain extras for beyond an episode it wouldn't be a surprise if there was a secondary delegate to appear when necessary).
  • The Colonial Marine Corps was led by the Chief of Marine Corp Operations (CMCO).
  • The CAP consisted of 2 Vipers scouting the edge of the fleet with an occasional Raptor added, likely defunct by the time Pegasus appeared.
  • The Colonial Fleet military is led by an Admiral of the Fleet followed by a Fleet Command Staff in charge of dozens of installations, institutions, outposts and facilities. The fleet make-up consists of battlestars, gun platforms, support ships, tankers, tenders and fast-strike fighters divided in 120 battlestar groups.
  • Cimtar is identified as a small moon.
  • The government chain is led by a democratically-elected president and under him are the Cabinet of Ministers (Defense, Education, Justice, others) and the Quorum of Twelve - responsible for confirming cabinet ministers and nominating/confirming the Vice President (when they are squabbling with each other). There is also the People's Council and a Lord's Council consisting of Priests and Oracles who's power seems to lie in justice and legislature.
  • Ship data:
  • Galactica: 4,593 x 1,275 x 739 feet, crew compliment (standard): 3,100, passenger compliment (standard): 7,000, support craft complement (standard): 80 Vipers, 20 Raptors, 12 assorted or 132 Vipers, Raptors and other support craft (Note: Galactica functions at a third of this strength at the time of the Fall of the Twelve Colonies).
  • Colonial One: 277 x 49 x 72 feet, crew compliment (standard): 15, passenger compliment (standard): 150, evacuation compliment (standard): 500.
  • Astral Queen: 846 x 321 x 209 feet, crew compliment: 14, penal custodians: 10, convicts: 1,500
  • Cloud Nine: 3,428 x 3,618 x 1,012 feet, crew compliment: 800, staff: 400, passengers: 1,000
  • Gemenon Traveller: 197 x 58 x 71 feet, crew compliment: 30, passengers: 200 (using emptied cargo holds)
  • Olympic Carrier: 825 x 130 x 75 feet, crew compliment: 25, passengers (standard): 500, evacuation compliment (standard): 1,500.
  • Viper Mark II: 27.5 x 8.8 x 15.4 feet.
  • Viper Mark VII: 32.4 x 9.7 x 18.4 feet.
  • Raptor: 28 x 9.5 x 18 feet.
  • Basestar: 4,500 x 2,250 x 625 feet.
  • Raider: 29.3 x 18 x 5 feet.
  • Heavy Raider: 35 x 11 x 10 feet. Passenger compliment: 12.
  • Also Ranks data (Fleet / Marine):
  • Admiral / Marine Admiral
  • Commander / Marine Commander
  • Colonel / Marine Colonel
  • Major / Marine Major
  • Captain / Marine Captain
  • Lieutenant / Marine Lieutenant
  • Lieutenant junior grade / Marine Lieutenant junior grade
  • Ensign / Marine Ensign
  • Master Chief Petty Officer / Sergeant Major
  • Chief Petty Officer / Gunnery Sergeant
  • Petty Officer 1st Class / Staff Sergeant
  • Petty Officer 2nd Class / Sergeant
  • Specialist / Lance Corporal
  • Deckhand / Private First Class
  • Recruit / Private

There was quite a bit of the Twelve Colonies history and what each of the Colonies resemble that no longer matches what was later shown on screen and now we use with the quasi-canon map (though if I was on the Map I'd have swapped Tauron and Virgon because of Gaeta's dialogue suggesting Caprica and Virgon shared the same system without using FTL).

Hope this helps a little. - Corey "Shadow" Danian (talk) 03:42, 23 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
