Wild Idea
I think this is a really cool page, but it doesn't tell me much about it. I suggest that we upload all the "cards" images to the MediaWiki, and we create a page with a template, on each card. Sort of what the card does and etc. All "cards" articles would have (CCG) or somesort of disab. title so they are reconizable. Ideas?--Shane (T - C - E) 09:53, 11 October 2006 (CDT)
- From a "fair use" POV, this will likely be seen as unauthorized reproduction or "reprinting" of the cards. Therefore, any fair use claim would be thrown out the window. As I've noticed on this list, each card has a common factor: their "type". We could create a page for each card-type (base, event, personnel, etc.), then have maybe one or two example of each card type on that page. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 10:00, 11 October 2006 (CDT)
I know from another collectible game I play, by Avalon Hill aka Wizards aka Hasbro, that scans of all the cards are available on the official unofficial forum, which has a close working relationship with the game designer and Wizards. No problems there but it could be different. I do think we need to break the card list up by set and then ensure they are in order by number in set. --Jonathan 05:55, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Digitization
If we wish to pursue a digitization project, please let me know. I am happy to head it up and perform whatever scanning, no matter how minimal, we wish to do. I have vast experience digitizing cards for another project and can do so in 600dpi. They come out quite nicely. This was posted using my iPad, so please excuse any errors.--Jonathan 03:25, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
I have digitized one card of each type to use in the article. They are uploaded to the Media Repository. I have also inserted them into the article. These will show the different card types and also the different rarity of cards (from Foil on down). This should adhere to a fair use reason. If we want me to digitize other or more cards please let me know.--Jonathan 05:46, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
