Since the reimagined Battlestar Galactica has taken off in popularity, I wonder if the writers for the series will eventually compile the complete Articles of Colonization; as the writer for another, much older, scifi series did by writing the Charter for the United Federation of Planets? --Avazina 18:10, 7 August 2007 (CDT)

Unlikely. They just invent snippets when they need it. Same with Star Trek. The complete Federation charter doesn't exist, and certainly not in TOS. And the excerpt seen in a VOY episode was far more likely made by the prop department than the writers. --Serenity 18:21, 7 August 2007 (CDT)
HMMM.... Interesting, since Paramount Pictures published a book with the tech and other specifics about the Star Trek TOS universe that featured a full-length version the Federation Charter. I guess it was merely a re-working the UN Charter. --Avazina 20:30, 7 August 2007 (CDT)
This is more likely the case. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 20:58, 7 August 2007 (CDT)
Supplemental books can be nice, and IMO the ST novels published in recent years are often many times better than a lot of the TV shows, but the TV writers very rarely have anything to do with them. They are licensed and approved by Paramount, but that's it. --Serenity 04:34, 8 August 2007 (CDT)
