Article description: (description ) This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | The Government of the Twelve Colonies, established by the Articles of Colonization, is a federal republic. The Colonial government was established 52 years prior to the Fall of the Twelve Colonies and is lead by a democratically elected president and legislature. Thanks largely to the efforts of President Laura Roslin the survivors retain their civilian government. The relationship between the civilian government and the military, encapsulated by Adama's relationship with the president, has been a dynamic feature of the Fleet. |
