Dnigibian orchids are lavender-colored flowers with unique curved white blossoms and a hint of pink on the inside.

Commander Adama had a fondness for these flowers, as they reminded him of his late wife, Ila. During a sectare, Adama told his children Apollo and Athena about these flowers, sharing with them how sweet they smelled and how beautiful the blossoms were.

Years after Ila's death, Starbuck purchased lavender Dnigibian orchids in stasis at a charity sale for forty cubits. He intended to give them to Athena as part of a romantic evening. When Athena saw the flowers, she was deeply moved, immediately recognizing them as the same flowers her father had always loved. She decided she would keep the flowers forever.
