Welcome to Battlestar Wiki![edit]
Greetings, Chinga, and welcome to Battlestar Wiki! I hope you enjoy your stay with us and am looking forward to your contributions to the Wiki! Why not begin by telling us a bit about yourself on your own user page?
As you may already know, Battlestar Wiki covers all the Battlestar Galactica series from past to present, in addition to authorized merchandise. Presently, we don't cover fan fiction, but our sister-site, Battlestar Pegasus (which will soon open) shall do so. We're also not really a discussion site, but we do have an ever growing Battlestar Forum where people can discuss the various shows and non-BSG topics as well!
To get started on the wiki, we suggest that you check out our tutorial, experiment in the sandbox (a test editing area for those learning wiki code), and review some of our basic policies (which have important differences from other SF wikis).
Of course, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, you are more than welcome to bring them up at the Chiefs' noticeboard (which is frequented by the administrators of the Wiki) and at the Galactipedians' Quorum (which is the hub for contributors, who are called "Galactipedians").
Furthermore, if you don't wish to see the ads, then please consider upgrading your account to a paid membership, which costs only $10 USD a year and helps support the wiki financially.
Thank you for joining us! Hope to see you soon! --Serenity 18:46, 22 January 2008 (CST)
Number Twelve / Galen Tyrol[edit]
Greetings! Welcome to the Wiki! I have noticed your edit on Cylon Models. Do you have a source for the information that Galen Tyrol is "Number Twelve"? Since all information needs to be sourced, we need a source to verify this, since it's not been mentioned in any episode to date. Thank you! -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 18:48, 22 January 2008 (CST)
- Greetings! Thank you! I have yet to learn my way around here. I was so exicted when I read that, I deicied to register and post the info. yet, I see it has been since removed... Aaron did a Q&A on his LJ community [1] yesterday and the day before where he answers fan questions, one of which was about the numbering of the Final Five. his response: "12. i got to choose" -- chinga 1:32, 23 January 2008 (CST)
- Noting it with a source is usually fine (and then using the footnote format. On talk pages you don't need footnotes as there isn't a reference section and they don't show up). Still, it would be better to just add this to the character page or something, than to four of five pages at once, in case he wasn't entirely serious. I'll try to find an appropriate place for it. Notes would be a good choice for stuff like this, but it's a case by case thing. --Serenity 03:18, 23 January 2008 (CST)
