Kwesi Ameyaw (born August 24, 1975 in the Kitchener-Waterloo area of Ontario, Canada) is the Canadian actor who portrayed the captain of the Botanical Cruiser in the Miniseries. His birth name is Erwin Kwesi Schilling Ameyaw.
Ameyaw was nominated for a Jessie Richardson Theatre Award in 2004 for Best Supporting Actor for his work in Blue/Orange.
Ameyaw's family is of Ghanaian descent from the tribe of Ashanti. His father is a professor and his mother is a social worker.
Ameyaw studied Theatre, Political Science and Philosophy at The University of British Columbia.
