Hudson is a Pegasus marine killed on the Guardian basestar.

Notes

Given the production crew's penchant for homages to military and science fiction movies with a military bent, the character may be named after Bill Paxton's Private William Hudson from Aliens. Coincidentally, the character is dragged away by the antagonists in much the same fashion and, at least in the novelization of the movie, Corporal Dwayne Hicks also fires into the hole hoping to kill Hudson before the aliens can impregnate him.
