A languatron is a handheld device that acts as a translator. It posseses a speaker (through which the tranlsation is broadcast), lights (which flash during use), as well as buttons.
Apollo uses a languatron to communicate with the Ovion queen, Lotay. Her speech consists of a high pitch squeaking, which the languatron translates (Saga of a Star World).
