Battlestar Wiki talk:Daily Check List

Discussion page of Battlestar Wiki:Daily Check List
Revision as of 06:22, 29 July 2006 by Shane (talk | contribs)

We need a checklist of items that everyone should check once they are on the site. I know this might seem useless but we really need this because something just don't get updated in enough time. (i.e. Portal:Battlestar Galactica (RDM)/Featured Episode just got updated by Merv.) So we just need a list of items that we should always check on. Add to the list below for ideas. Order is of no importance. If it's an administrator item only "thing" mark it (ADMIN). If it's Research and Development mark it (R&D). --Shane (T - C - E) 17:59, 28 July 2006 (CDT)

This is a "sister" project off the BW:TASK project page. --Shane (T - C - E) 01:21, 29 July 2006 (CDT)

Shane, the entire concept behind making the Think Tank was so that instead of just making/proposing such things as this in the way you did, it would go through a proposal and vote on the Think Tank page first. That's the entire...reason we made the Think Tank page. Please bring this up there first.

I don't think such a "Daily Check List" is necessary any more than the "recent changes" button. I'm going to update the featured episodes and Cylon Portals regularly from now on, now that my schedule permits it (the Portals, after they were created, weren't updated too frequently. I blame myself.) But we don't need a "check list"; we know when there's going to be a Featured Article vote and we make an announcement banner at the top of the browser page. That sort of is or "check list" for major events, the banner at the top of the pages. --The Merovingian (C - E) 18:19, 28 July 2006 (CDT)

Not just the portals. You know how long the Recent Changes list gets? --Shane (T - C - E) 01:01, 29 July 2006 (CDT)
I have absolutely nothing against this project, but Merv is right - this must be approved through the proper channels. --Peter Farago 01:08, 29 July 2006 (CDT)
