Gianne was Lee Adama's old love on Caprica. Soon before the Fall of the Twelve Colonies, she informed Apollo that she was pregnent with his child. But due to his own complex family issues growing up, he was afraid, so he "pushed her away and ran"; she stormed off because he wouldn't commit, and he didn't try to contact her right away. Almost immediately after this, Apollo was sent on his mission to the decomissioning ceremony on Galactica. Before Apollo could have any chance of changing his mind and contacting her again, the Twelve Colonies were overrun by the Cylons. Gianne, and Apollo's unborn child, are now presumed dead ("Black Market")
