FTL Drive?[edit]
How are we so certain that this recon craft had a FTL drive? If I recall, such a topic wasn't mentioned, and we didn't see it in use. Judging from discourse, it would seem that the stealth craft was berthed aboard Valkyrie and was launched to the theatre from there. I'm not against it having one, but I would advocate to classifying this to "Undetermined" until someone at the "Head Office" states otherwise. -- Hawke 12:01, 18 November 2006 (CST)
- I agree, it was my fault i copied and pasted the template from another ship and forgot to take that line out. I will do it now. --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 19:46, 18 November 2006 (CST)
stealth ships[edit]
The Blackbird and prototype Colonial stealthstar craft may constructed by Chief Petty Officer Galen Tyrol. He served aboard battlestars from the age of eighteen, including Columbia, Atlantia, and Pegasus (Resistance). He has served under William Adama on Galactica for five years.he know someting about second prototype stealthstar. Why did the Cylons have one craft jump in and fire on the stealth star and then jump out, then sending two more ships to finish the attack? first attack is real cylon or another stealth craft order to provoke a war.-- mustah
- Intereesting speculation Mustah, but episode information indicates that Tyrol was trying only to make a Viper replacement. Because of material limitations, they had to use different engines (which changed the vehicle from a true fighter to a recon craft) and used carbon composites and not precious metal (which gave it the stealth abilities). It was Helo who thought of the use of composites. We have no official information that Tyrol knew of (or could conceive of building anything resembling) the Stealth Star. The Cylons did what they did to minimize intelligence on their fighters as they planned for war, and reinforces the fact that the Colonials have not seen any Cylons for 40 years, not even a glimpse, until the miniseries.--Spencerian 12:37, 1 December 2006 (CST)
Naming[edit]
I refer you to our discussion at Wikipedia (Star or Stealthstar) - What should it be named here? MatthewFenton 12:24, 1 December 2006 (CST)
- We've a redirect for "Stealthstar," but the source would be good to know. I suspect we used the captioning for this spelling. --Spencerian 12:29, 1 December 2006 (CST)
