Galactica Discovers Earth was a novelization of the original three hours of Galacatica 1980 that was published over two years after the series was cancelled. The storyline covers the events of what would be the first three episodes in the syndicated version of the series: Galactica Discovers Earth, Part I Galactica Discovers Earth, Part II and Galactica Discovers Earth, Part III.
