Adriatic?[edit]

I reckon I know what ship it is.--CoreyDanian 3 October 2006

How so? --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 03:18, 3 October 2006 (CDT)
Since its basicly the only armed ship in the fleet (apart from Galactica and Pegasus) and a picture on a forum website with pictures of the escape from New Caprica in Lay Down Your Burdens, Part 2 showed what appears to be a Colonial Defender (from games and also appeared in "Flesh and Bone") my ownly conclusion can be that it was the Adriatic.--CoreyDanian October 2006
We don't know that the Adriatic was the only armed ship in the fleet, just that it was the only armed ship in the Roslin Faction that was in range of Starbuck and Helo. --Peter Farago 19:15, 3 October 2006 (CDT)
This has to be the Wedge-shaped vessel as Adriatic goes missing during The Passage. As it just happens, the wedge-shaped vessel never made it out of the jump.--CoreyDanian 12:54, 15 June 2007
Worth noting, if someone can confirm - I don't have the episode. --Peter Farago 22:29, 14 June 2007 (CDT)
Two ships were lost during The Passage: Carina (which doesn't look like the wedge-shaped vessel) and the Adriatic. But how do you know the wedge-shaped vessel was lost? --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 05:44, 15 June 2007 (CDT)

Carina is a salvage and repairs ship.--CoreyDanian

I know, I already said it doesn't look like the wedge-shaped vessel. But how do you know that the wedge-shaped vessel was lost during The Passage? --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 09:59, 18 June 2007 (CDT)
Because it went missing on the first jump. It's so obvious. (By the way, Australia hasn't got third season yet)--CoreyDanian
Hmm, I'll have to rewatch the episode then. --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 06:03, 19 June 2007 (CDT)

Modern Name[edit]

Why exactly is Adriatic a name derived from modern Times? The Adriatic Sea is named after an etruscan colony and the name is used at least since the 5th Century BC. The Name is found in works of Herodotus or Euripides. And since the Adriatic borders the greek Homeland, it shouldn't be improbable that it's mentioned somewhere in colonial religous writings.
