Tarn was selected for the scout mission to Kobol (Kobol's Last Gleaming, Pt. I), subsequently becoming stranded on Kobol with the rest of his crew. He was sent back to the crash site to retrieve a medkit for the critically wounded Socinus, accompanied by Chief Tyrol and Cally. On their way back with the medkit, he was killed in a Cylon ambush (Scattered).
