Raptor 1 was a Raptor from Battlestar Galactica. Most raptors are designated with three-digit numbers, such as Raptor 275 and Raptor 312. Raptor 1 may have been designated as such because it carried Vice President Gaius Baltar.

It was one of three Raptors sent to survey the planet believed to be Kobol.

Incident

After entering Kobol's orbit, a phalanx of Cylon Raiders happened upon them suddenly. One raptor was destroyed in orbit via collision with a Raider, another left via FTL to Galactica, and Raptor 1 was damaged as a result of the fracas. Crashdown managed to crashland near an overgrown field, near ruins presumed to be from humanity pre-Colonization.
