The Otori Sect are a religous group hailing from Gemoni. They believe in physical contact between genders only when sanctified by the priests during the High Worship of the Sunstorm, which occurs every seven years. These restrictions cause them to react very unfavorably to Cassiopeia, due to her status as a socialator. Starbuck speculates that these restrictions are what make the Gemonese such good card players (Saga of a Star World).
