Ragnar Anchorage was a Colonial installation that served as a weapons supply depot, suspended within the upper reaches of the planet Ragnar's atmosphere. When the weaponless (and nearly decommissioned) Galactica found herself mired in the renewed hostilities with their bastard progeny, the battlestar jumped to the outpost using her infrequently-used FTL drive.

On the station, CPO Galen Tyrol and his team discovered the Humano-Cylon Leoben Conoy, who was later terminated by Commander William Adama (and thus revealing the danger posed by the Humano-Cylons).

Ragnar Station was also the rendezvous point for President Laura Roslin's fleet of FTL-driven refugee ships. From here, the Colonial exodus from their home worlds commenced (Mini-Series), as depicted in the writings of the Oracle Pythia. (The Hand of God)
