The credits might refer to him as 'William Adama, Sr.', but he's actually NOT a Sr. The 'Sr' tag implies that he's the father of someone named William Adama, and he isn't; he'd simply be 'William Adama', with Willie Adama being 'William Adama the Second' and Bill (the Admiral) Adama being 'William Adama the Third'.

He's not a 'Sr.'

The credits might refer to him as 'William Adama, Sr.', but he's actually NOT a Sr. The 'Sr' tag implies that he's the father of someone named William Adama, and he isn't; he'd simply be 'William Adama', with Willie Adama being 'William Adama the Second' and Bill (the Admiral) Adama being 'William Adama the Third'.
