What does this catagory do that Special:Allpages doesn't? Phlip 09:09, 16 October 2005 (EDT) | What does this catagory do that Special:Allpages doesn't? Phlip 09:09, 16 October 2005 (EDT) | ||
: For starters, Special:Allpages doesn't alphabetize last names. It only goes by whatever the first letter is, as far as I am aware. Second, Special:Allpages also lists redirect articles; A to Z doesn't. A to Z is mainly for articles with content, thus excluding redirects, talk pages, "shortcut" pages, and other non-content pages. Also, A to Z gives a far more accurate count on how many actual pages there are, and A to Z is, in my view, more easier to go through than Special:Allpages, despite Special:Allpages' ability to search by namespace and title. -- Joe Beaudoin 14:39, 16 October 2005 (EDT) |
