I never knew references were invisible to anonymous users until I logged out and saw it for myself. :Turns out this is [https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11224 an ancient bug] nobody ever fixed. I [http://svn.wikimedia.org/viewvc/mediawiki?view=rev&revision=36333 fixed] it, and references for anonymous users are now working again, with the catch that they won't show up until the cache is purged or the article is edited (because the old, referenceless versions are still stuck in the parser cache). --[[User:Catrope|Catrope]]<sup>([[User talk:Catrope|Talk to me]] or [[Special:Emailuser/Catrope|e-mail me]])</sup> 14:18, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Turns out this is an ancient bug nobody ever fixed. I fixed it, and references for anonymous users are now working again, with the catch that they won't show up until the cache is purged or the article is edited (because the old, referenceless versions are still stuck in the parser cache). --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 14:18, 16 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
