This is an archive of an unsuccessful proposal that was vetted through the Think Tank, a place where ideas of all kinds are proposed and worked upon by the community prior to implementation. Please do not modify this proposal.

In light of the WGA Strike, I want to support the writers since they're clearly getting shafted by the men upstairs. At least, from where I'm sitting. In that light, I want to have the Battlestar Wiki officially support the writers' in this strike.

Having said that, I know that people might feel differently, so I wish to pass the following proposal by everyone. While I do believe in the worthiness of this strike, I do wish to sanctify our support by at least the majority of our visitors and contributors. Therefore, I propose the following:

To voice our support of the writers, we will:

  1. Modify the front page to voice our support for the strike and lead people to fans4writers.com.
  2. Add a small banner on the bottom of each page.
  3. Additionally, both the Facebook and MySpace external portals will reflect our support.

Feel free to discuss this on the talk page. Once we get any issues hammered out, we can then do an official vote.

Personally, I'd like to do this as soon as possible. No later than two weeks.

So please communicate any thoughts, objections, or additions on the talk page. Thanks!
