The Cyrannus Colonies:

The Cyrannus star system is a trinary system. This system is composed of Cyrannus A, which is a class G yellow dwarf; Cyrannus B, a class K orange dwarf; and Cyrannus C, a class M red dwarf. The system includes five terraformed terrestrial planets; Caprica, Virgon, Aerelon, Gemenon, and Tauron. There are also three gas giants; Molecay, Cimtar, and Ragnar.

Caprica, Molecay, and Virgon orbit Cyrannus A. Aerelon and Cimtar orbit Cyrannus B. Gemenon, Tauron, and Ragnar orbit Cyrannus C.

Molecay has four terraformed moons; Scorpia, Libris, Leonis, and Canceron. Cimtar has three; Picon, Aquaria, and Sagittaron. Ragnar has no moons.

The Armistice Station was a space station built after the First Cylon War. It sat in an unstable orbital path between Cyrannus A and Cyrannus B.

Terraforming of the Twelve Colonies:

Terraforming of the colonies involved employing a special greenhouse gas that traps the heat in a planet or moon's atmosphere making that celestial body warm enough to sustain life even at far distances from a star. That was combined with a network of dozens of gravity-manipulation satellites; soil, water, as well as genetically engineered plants and algae; the introduction of every known form of Kobolian life; plus giant atmosphere processing plants along with gigantic orbital mirrors for extra heat and light. The orbital mirrors were used to focus light on each moon or planet, thus little problem with sunlight and distance.
