Atmosphere Visual Effects is a visual effects studio located in Vancouver, British Columbia, who have worked on the Re-imagined series of Battlestar Galactica.
Atmosphere Visual Effects has a staff base of over 25 artists with skills including but not limited to:
- Previz - Working at the location to produce the best shots
- CG - Environment, characters and vehicles using a variety of software
- Compositing - Blending live-action with CG, miniatures and matte paintings
- Matte painting - Digitally painted images and full CG environments
Atmosphere Visual Effects won a VES Award in 2006 for Outstanding Animated Character in a Live Action Broadcast Program, Commercial, or Music Video from their work on the Cylon CG, an award they were previously nominated in 2005.
