A term used to describe a FTL jump execution without the benefit of plotting a course.
It is assumed that such an act is more folly than anything else, primarly due to the astrogational hazards (impact with ships, planets or other bodies).
Such a jump was done by Admiral Nelena Cain to avoid destruction of the Pegasus as the Cylon's attacked.
