- Catch up with the Battlestar story with Battlestar Galactica: The Story So Far, a one-hour recap that will be shown at various times on different outlets during August and September and will be available online.[1] This will also be available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace for the Xbox 360.[2]
- On July 27, 2006, Ronald D. Moore made the first new entry in his blog [3] at Sci-Fi.com in three months. It contains some very interesting news. Bradley Thompson also talked about the upcoming season here.
- According to series composer Bear McCreary's[4] blog, the first two episodes of season 3 will premiere back-to-back as a two hour TV movie.
- Season 3 will premiere in the US on Friday, October 6.[5]
- Battlestar Galactica is nominated[6] for three Emmy Awards by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Nominated categories are Outstanding Costumes (for Lay Down Your Burdens, Part 2), Outstanding Single-Camera Sound Mixing For A Series (for Scattered), and Outstanding Special Visual Effects For A Series (for Resurrection Ship, Part 2).
