Introduction

"The Cylons were created by Man. They were created to make life easier on the twelve colonies. And then the day came when the Cylons decided to kill their masters. After a long and bloody struggle, an armistice was declared. The Cylons left for another world to call their own. A remote space station was built where Cylon and human could meet and maintain diplomatic relations. Every year the Colonials send an officer. The Cylons send no one. No one has seen or heard from the Cylons in over forty years."
Armistice Station

With these words so begins the Miniseries and, in turn, the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica regular series.

Description

Armistice Station is a remote space station. Annually it is attended by an Armistice Officer, who happens to be Boxey's father.

A few items of interest are visible in Armistice Station:

The Armistice Officer begins to slowly fall asleep then suddenly the doors open from the opposite end and two Cylon Centurion's enter. This is followed by another cyclon resembling human form, Number Six. Dressed in a long-sleeved red tunic and matching knee-length skirt, she is the first and last "diplomat" ever sent to the station by the Cylons since its construction. She greets the Colonial officer present with the question "Are you alive?" When he answers that he is alive, she tells him to prove it. They engage in a long kiss. After he realizes that Armistice is under attack, she smiles and forces another kiss on him shortly before they are both destroyed.

Destruction

Destruction of Armistice Station

Armistice Station is dwarfed in size by the Cylon basestar that pays it a visit. In a fitting choice for the opening salvo of the Cylon attack, the basestar attacks and destroys Armistice Station. The Armistice Station section of the Miniseries article discusses this peculiar circumstance.
